NARRATIVE PARAGRAPH
Narrative
paragraph is the paragraph that tell about story which happen in the past.
Usually, narrative paragrpah tell about fiction stroy or imagine story. The
social function of narrative is to entertain the reader.
Generic Structure of Narrative
1.
Orientation : Introducing the participant who include
in that story.
2.
Complication : Tell the problem that happen in that story.
3.
Resolution : Tell the way how the problem is solved.
4.
Coda : Moral massage from the story.
Language Feature of Narrative

5.

simple past tense
Example of Narrative
Saint Valentine
Saint
Valentine was a priest who lived long ago at the time of the roman Emperor,
Claudius II. Claudius
would not let soldiers marry. However, Valentine secretly performed marriage
services for them. Then, he was discovered and was thrown into jail. Valentine
fell in love with jailer’s daughter while he was in prison. On
the day he was put to death he sent her a little note which he signed, Your
Valentine. Nowadays, many people think that Saint Valentine’s Day has something
to do with that story.
